Year on year, 츣 is recognised as one of the best and happiest places to live in the UK. In 2019, we were the top choice in the Sunday Times Best Places To Live guide because the town "remains a divinely attractive and welcoming place" and in 2022 we were listed in the top 20 happiest places to live in the UK, with a sense of belonging, friendly locals, and safety to be yourself listed as key factors in a happy town.

Our hospital is set in the picturesque rural county of Wiltshire. Although located in the city of 츣, the hospital is situated at the top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside and plenty of fresh air!

Living in 츣, the ‘city in the countryside’, means that we get to have a bit of everything.

Spectacular countryside

Set in the picturesque rural county of Wiltshire, there are three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty nearby – landscape that’s protected so it’s as rich and beautiful now as it was in the past. Whatever your preferred method for enjoying the great outdoors, you’ll be able to pursue it here.

A buzzing market town

츣 has been an important provincial city for more than a thousand years, with architecture ranging from medieval walls and half-timbered Tudor townhouses, to Georgian mansions and Victorian villas, as well as the iconic 츣 Cathedral (and the UK’s tallest spire). Today the town is a lively and fun place to live, with the buzz of the nightlife and restaurant culture, a lively arts scene and regular festivals meaning there is always something going on.

Great connections to other cities

츣 has excellent road, rail, bus and coach links to Bath, London and the south coast. Two main rail routes intersect 츣, with a direct route to London Waterloo that takes less than 90 minutes. The cosmopolitan cities of Bristol and Southampton and the tourist meccas of Bath and Bournemouth are all within easy reach, whilst the Swindon Designer Outlet offers plenty of retail therapy nearby as well.

High Performing Schools

츣 has an excellent grammar school system, and Wiltshire as a whole is well served by highly performing independent and state schools, from nursery through to sixth form, with GCSE performance above the average for the South West. Wiltshire College has one of its main campuses in 츣, and the college run a broad selection of courses in subject areas including engineering, health, business and finance and the creative and performing arts.

We are more then just a great place to work. If you’re hoping for a fresh start, we can confidently say that 츣 has what you’re looking for. Don’t just take our word for it - explore more about what 츣 has to offer by clicking on the buttons below.

Our staff at 츣 District Hospital have long been well regarded for the quality of care and treatment they provide for our patients and for their innovation, commitment and professionalism. This has been recognised in a wide range of achievements and it is reflected in our award of NHS Foundation Trust status. This is afforded to hospitals that provide the highest standards of care.
